Christian Comfort

We believe that Jesus Christ is the greatest source of comfort, strength, help and friendship that we can experience on life's journey. You can find out about Jesus by reading the Bible, by going to church or by asking somebody who you know to be a Christian.

Here are some of the words that Jesus spoke to people in various situations, we hope that these words will speak to you as well. The brackets give the Bible reference so that you can read more for yourself.

Whatever is going on in your life, help may be

found in God’s promises from the Bible.

Moving out from home?

Peter said to him, 'We have left everything to follow you!'.  'I tell you the truth,' Jesus replied, 'no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields - and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life.'   (Mark 10:28-30).

I lift my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip - he who watches over you will not slumber: indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand: the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm - he will watch over your life: the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and for evermore. (Psalm 121)
